About me

Hi, I’m Keith.I am a qualified Immersive Meditation Facilitator and a Level 3 Master Status Reiki Practitioner. I also teach ‘How to Meditate, what it feels like and what to do.'I have been married for over 35 years, I have two grown up children and a very clever dog. After a long and varied working life I found myself at a point in my life where I felt I just couldn't be myself. I was struggling with the expectation of how you should act as a male. These expectations didn't match up with the way that I wanted to be. Meditation helped me to break the chains of traditional masculinity and go within to discover who I really was. It gave me a new direction and purpose.
My focus and passion - Immersive Meditation
Now I have a new focus and passion - Immersive Meditation. An outcome-oriented guided meditation which can reveal huge personal insights and is focused on problem solving, along with healthy self reflection.Meditation did not come easily to me, in fact I struggled for about 18 months wondering if I was actually doing it right and even doubted the so-called benefits that meditation was supposed to bring. Yes, I read all the right things, watched this and listened to that, I even purchased a popular app. In short I lost my confidence and was about to give up.That was when I met my Reiki teacher Jen, who took me under her wing and facilitated guided meditation sessions properly. This provided an authentic one-on-one experience that left me in no doubt that I had been meditating and what it actually felt like. It was a wonderful experience and I was well and truly hooked.Fast forward several years, a lot of research and practise, I met Heather, an experienced meditation mentor. The 12 months that I spent studying with her was invaluable and enlightened me even more.After having a very varied working life, using my hands, I came to the realisation that it was time to work with my heart, bringing Unhook Immersive to people who are looking to go within.Read about my mission
My Mission

My goal is to take you within and find the answers to your questions. Over a 6 week course, I will help you to reconnect with a part of you that's had to take cover and needs to be unlocked. From this, you will no longer have to hide this part of yourself from the endless barrage of opinions of who you should be or how you should look, what you should listen to and how you should act. Unhook Immersive is designed to quickly reconnect you with the real you, to guide you to the truth of why you are here and what it is that you truly want in this life.
Breaking the chains of traditional masculinity
As a father, brother and friend I have witnessed, and experienced, the unprecedented, relentless and unrealistic pressures placed upon men, both young and old in these modern times. I have treated men from the age of 18 to 80, sons, brothers, partners and grandfathers. Even men, who on paper, have it all but are struggling with this impossible expectation to do more, be more and strive for more. They are often, as I was, dearly loved by friends and family, yet feel isolated and adrift. The truth is that they are loved, valued and cherished, they just can’t see it yet. The modern world places a weight of expectation that is palpable and sometimes overwhelming.
What is the Journey Within?
Firstly, you don't need to know how to meditate in order to participate. You just sit back, breathe and relax, I do all the work for you. I'll teach you some easy techniques that will be useful for the rest of your life.The Journey Within is a series of 6 immersive meditations, each builds on the last one. Each immersive meditation supports you in being able to silence your inner critic [ego], while being able to listen to your still, small voice [intuition]. This can help you to gain valuable insights and a healthy self-reflection.The series is suitable for men and women alike however, practically all of my male clients come through recommendation from mothers, sisters and female friends. Learn How to meditate, what it feels like & what to do
If you are new to meditation and know don’t where to start then this series of sessions are definitely for you. The series is practical and easy to follow. The series consists of;
Lesson One Getting the basics right.Lesson Two Re-Cap then Moving into the Heart.Lesson Three Contemplative Meditation, get your own answers to your own questions.These lessons are very practical and easy to do. Each lesson builds on the last, vital if you are new to meditation. One hour duration, but allow 90 minutes.

Q. I don't know how to meditate, will this matter?A. No, absolutely not. No experience required, I will guide you through the process.Q. Which one is best for me, one-on-one in person or zoom sessions?A. Face to face could be an advantage, but zoom requires no travel and you can relax and contemplate immediately after we finish.Q. If I do this in a group session will I have to share my experience with the group?A. No, each person's journey within is their own. No sharing required.Q. Is the journey within just for men?A. No, it's for everyone male or female. Most of the bookings for men come through wives, girlfriends, female friends or partners.

Grounding/Earthing

On this site you have three free videos to watch and Clint Ober's book which is a good read. You don't have to purchase anything in order to get the benefits of Grounding/Earthing but you do have to do it on a regular basis as the effects are cumulative. This works!
Heart Brain Coherence

On this site there are free to learn techniques which are invaluable. No purchase required, only registration. Heart Math Institute is a trusted site, and the information is second to none on Heart Brain Coherence. Again, practise makes perfect - you have to do this on a regular basis, this leads to so much more. Highly recommended.
Breathwork
You can pick up lots of free tips on this throughout the web but, I would try and find a local practitioner such as Nidra Yoga in order to get the best out of this life-giving practice. Most people shallow breathe throughout their lives and you can get so much more from a good breathing technique. Try this one right now. Calm yourself and sit up straight. Gently breathe in and out through the nose, eyes closed or open it's up to you. After a short while say, in your mind's eye the word NOURISHING on the in breath and the word BREATH on the out breath. You will find that you automatically breathe deeper and longer as your body responds to your command. I would also try that one when you are near flowing water, which is very nourishing.
Laughing
Laughing opens your heart and is so unbelievably healing. Even smiling, how wonderful it is when you catch someone else smiling and you automatically find yourself smiling along with that person. It's fascinating how you do this even when you don't even know what it is they are smiling about. Free and easy to do.Tip: You don't have to just smile on the outside.
Gratitude / Appreciation
Now don't roll your eyes at this one. What is the most basic thing that we do in life to live… BREATHE! Let's show some appreciation for air, it's that easy. The attitude of gratitude waters your spiritual garden, quietly giving thanks for even the most basic of things lightens your load.
Meditation
Once you have the basics, you can go on and explore many other facets of meditation. It's a must have in your toolbox for life and you will never ever regret it.
Journaling
An absolute must, this is so important especially when you are under pressure. Even doodling a picture that is in your mind, get it out of your mind and onto the page.
